First off, lets just list some obstacles that dancers and customers face when a party is set to be performed in a hotel room:

• Noise disturbance (many hotels crack down on unnecessary noise after 10:00pm, so it’s better to do your party earlier in the evening do avoid the real hotel security from showing up at your door).
• Parking (dancers do many shows in one evening, and if they do not have quick and accessible parking, this can delay things.  Also any parking  or valet charges incurred by the stripper need to be reimbursed by the customer).
• Limited room to perform ( hotel rooms are generally not spacious with beds, dressers, night stands and a desk in the way.  We suggest you try to move some things out of the way if possible before your dancer shows up so they have enough room to at least dance all the way around a chair for lap dances).
• Front Desk Staff (many strippers are stopped by either the front desk staff or hotel security asking who they are and what they are doing coming into the hotel maybe in a costume or bringing some type of boom box.  We suggest you always meet you entertainers in the lobby area when they arrive to pay them their fee and then escort them up to the room).
• Volume of the music (generally a hotel party needs to keep the music down on a lower volume than if you were to have this at your private residence.  Once someone in a nearby room picks up the phone and calls hotel security about the noise, they will show up and demand the music to be turned way down or for the dancer to stop and leave.  In some instances the hotel has threatened to kick everyone out of the room including the dancer, and all guests and then they lose their room for the night that they have already paid for.  You don’t want this to happen to your and your party.)
• No proper chair in the room for lap dances (we highly suggest after checking into your room, see what type of chair is in front of the desk area of the room.  If it has wheels or spins in a circle and has arms, this is not a good chair for strippers to give dances on.  Take a few minutes and call the front desk and ask if they can bring up a chair from a meeting room as a courtesy.)

If you are thinking of having your party in a rented meeting room or banquet room at the hotel, this is a much better option.  You can get away with much more noise and the music cranked up and doing things later in the evening.  Typically this is done with much larger parties of 25 or more people attending.  Some will hire a DJ to come in for larger parties and then the stripper can coordinate with the DJ about having their music plugged into the DJ’s sound board or laptop computer.  This would be something you want to discuss with your stripper at the time of booking or prior to the day of the event.  The last thing you want to happen is you have a DJ there, and the dancer shows up with music on a CD and the DJ doesn’t have a CD drive.  Most strippers won’t feel very comfortable or feel their show will be very lacking if they can not dance to the music that they provide for their show.
