Many people have never hired a male or female stripper or attended a bachelorette or bachelor party. Some might have wandered into a local strip club and see the dancers making tips. Well when you plan to hire a male or female stripper for a private party, there is some industry standards to follow.
First off, tipping is not optional, it is required when it comes to hosting or hostessing an adult party. Some assume you tip a stripper at the end of the party like 10 or 20% like a waiter at a restaurant, but that is definitely not the case. Most strippers whether male or female will not only do lap dances but other activities to get everyone involved during the show. Most everything done is tip oriented to participate. We have seen parties where lets say 25 people are sitting there watching the show. Out of the 25, only half of them are tipping the dancer or dancers and the rest are sitting there doing nothing. This makes for a bad party, since this is forcing the others to shell out more tip money or the dancer walks away with alot less tips than expected.
The strippers rely heavily on tips for many reasons since alot of customers do not realize the costs involved for a stripper to be in this industry such as the following:
- Lots miles on their cars, resulting in very frequent oil changes, tires replaced and gasoline.
- Regular haircuts, some once per week, hair colors, eyebrows waxed or threading.
- Pedicures, manicures.
- Tanning, facials, and other enhancements such as botox or fillers.
- Breast Augmentation.
- Tipping out or paying a security driver.
- Putting together and maintaining an extensive wardrobe of costumes or lingerie, g strings, boxer briefs.
- Having a minimum of $100 to $200 in cash on hand to make change at the parties for all customers.
- Photo shoots with photographers to have professional, up to date photos to be posted online for advertising.
- Eating a clean, special diet to keep in shape and lean year around.
- Acquiring music that may be edited or mixed for specific costumes, or scenarios at parties.
- Business cards, fliers, and other promotional materials to hand out.
- Baby oil, blind folds, whip cream, and other party essentials for party games.
Also keep in mind, the strippers feed off of the crowd’s energy and participation. If everyone is screaming and throwing money, the entertainer will thrive off of that and would want to stick around longer and put on even a better show. If you feel your stripper has done a great job and exceeded your expectations, you may feel free to give an additional tip a the end when the dancer is getting ready to leave. This is not required but a very nice gesture to show your appreciation for a job well done.
The industry standard for tipping would be that for a party such as a bachelorette or girls night out, all of the girls attending should have $10.00 to $20.00 each in tipping dollars per girl attending. For an all male audience having a female stripper, each guy attending should have between $20.00 and $40.00 each per guy attending the party. If you end up booking a two girl show, then you should have even more than that since you have two dancers to take care of. Most of the girls in a two girl show would split their tips after the party is over.
